a couple weeks ago, jeremy & i photographed laurie & matt’s wedding in havelock. this was one of the most relaxed couples i’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing! all wedding days are filled with emotions – which can be both good & bad – usually a mixture of excitement & nervousness. and of course, that feeling was in the air. but more so than that, the couple were both calm & relaxed, which in turn made everyone around them, calm & relaxed. it created such a lovely atmosphere! they were married at miller’s landing, which is on the military base at cherry point. it’s right on the river & provided beautiful water views, however, due to heavy rains the night before, the ceremony was moved inside. the ground was completely saturated & the threat of more rain was {literally} hanging overhead. of course, laurie took it in stride & didn’t let the change of plans dampen her day. and luckily, between the light showers, we were still able to do plenty of photos outside. laurie was a beautiful bride and her and matt are perfect for each other! here are some highlights from their big day…
