i met this family of five at the park the morning before mother’s day. the kids seemed to be excited for our session together, with the oldest {thomas}, even telling me he got a haircut for the occasion! they were ready to get down to business & they rocked their photo shoot like pros. the kids were great listeners and we got nice, smiley shots for mom, but they were also silly enough for some great candid ones too. this was a fun bunch!! thank you drake family for a great session! hope you all enjoy the photos!

while i can’t say that today was a relaxing day, i can say that it was fulfilling. if i look tired, it’s because i am. but those two kiddos are so more than worth it! i’ll take fulfilling over relaxing any day. i’m so blessed to be a mother to 2 wonderful children!

thankful for my moms constant love & support… can’t imagine how tired i’d be without her.

how precious is this little doll?! she snoozed through most of the session – i only got a few photos with her eyes open! i was so happy to meet this sweet girl. i had photographed her big sister, isabella, last summer. it’s always so exciting to watch families grow and see kiddos become siblings. isabella is thrilled to be a big sister! she sat and watched me photograph addison and eagerly awaited her turn to take pictures with her sister. when it was finally her turn to hold her, she didn’t want to let her go, which was as sweet as could be!

i was recently contacted by a non-profit organization called capturing hopes photography. it is a group of volunteer professional photographers who provide documentary style photography to babies in the neo-natal intensive care unit {nicu} and their families, at no cost. i was honored to have been asked to provide my services to a family in need at vidant medical center in greenville. last tuesday, i met karlee & kaylee, along with their mom & dad. arriving at just 26 weeks gestation, it’s amazing what little fighters these two are and what modern medicine can do! i will be going back to document their progress every 2 weeks {until they go home} and i can hardly wait to see how much they’ve grown. they’ve been on mind {and in my heart} since meeting them last week.

i can hardly believe it, but this handsome little man turns two today! i’ve been photographing him since he was a newborn. he has grown into a busy, curious & fun toddler! to commemorate this fun age, we met up at the park with some of hayden’s favorite things. i enjoyed chasing him around while he rode down the bike trail {so cute!} & took his truck off-roading. it’s always such a joy to capture kiddos as they grow! happy birthday sweet hayden!!

the last time i saw this cutie, he was a teeny tiny newborn. now he’s 10 months old and sweet as can be! sweet as in, you want to munch on his chubby cheeks!! and his little personality is just as sweet. his mama sat him down & he was content just sitting there checking me out, watching the people, dogs, and cars go by. he’s such a precious boy – i just wanted to squeeze him!

i photographed silas last week at exactly 1 week new. he is as cute as could be with his big eyes & head full of dark hair. he kept his eyes on me for most of the session – quite alert for just seven days old! his big sister, helena, seems to be smitten with him and was so excited to be included in some of the photos. she did such a good job helping mommy throughout the session and even holding silas all on her own. as always, it was a pleasure to meet this sweet family with their new addition.
